Web Design
It’s funny how life takes twists and turns. I always knew I wanted to be a writer, but I never envisioned it would be online as a web designer. But it sure is fun!
Take a look on the right side of the page at the list called All My Sites. These are all the domains I currently own and operate. The list used to be twice that long but I sold some domain names and moved on, focusing on what I think are better ideas.
I made a lot of sites using html and CSS. But that was before I got into WordPress. Right now, I’d say WordPress is the best way to build a website. I love the fact(s) that it makes its own pages and keeps the sidebars intact throughout. More than just a website, it’s a content management system.
Just for yuks, take a look at some of the (older) websites I made with CSS and HTML…
Here’s the old Driver Story Magazine.
Here’s another CSS site I started but never finished.
Here’s one I made for a construction company Clawhammers Tree Service.
Here’s the old Fajita.biz.
Here’s the old Freightraters.com.
Here’s the old KenSkaggs.com.
This one is a pretty cool program I still use to submit my sites to search engines.
I have another dozen or two that I either built for someone else or sold. If you need a website, I’m your man. I’ll work one on one with you and my job is not finished until you know how to run it yourself without me. Email me here at me@kenskaggs.com.
Special offer- If you want to write your own content and add your own pictures, but don’t know anything about it, give me a call. I’ll set you up, install your site, tweak it, and teach you how to run it yourself, using a WordPress blog. (Take a look on the right-side at “All My Sites” to get an idea- those are all WordPress blogs.) You can be up and running in an hour or two.
All you need is a domain name (about $10 a year), a server (about $4 a month), and me to install your basic site (about $50). Your site will have a cool layout throughout every page, and every post you put on it will automatically make another page by itself. Today’s technology is amazing.
